Evaluation

1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

I have created a WordItOut on the key conventions of a trailer, magazine and poster. I have followed these throughout my promotional package.
Here is my magazine wordle.
Here is my trailer wordle.

 Here is my poster wordle.

Below I have created two thinglink's on both my magazine and poster explaining what I have used in my media products to make them like real ones.

Below I have created a padlet on my trailer commenting on wha ways my product uses develops and challenges forms and conventions of real media products. I have explained about why I used setting, the title and the storyline of my trailer.

2. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

I have used Piktochart to explain how all three parts of my promotional package use brand identity to create an effective cohesive package.

3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?

I showed the draft version of my trailer to my A Level Media class for my original part of feedback. By doing this I could then know what I could do to improve my final trailer. This was therefore helpful as after this I felt like I had a clearer understanding of what more I needed to do. My class was of 5 people and they gave me 3 what worked well and 3 even better ifs. Below I have attached my feedback which I have made into a 'smore'.

I have also collected some research and created a 'slideshare' for each person on the feedback I have received for all 3 stages of my promotional package, I specifically asked 16-25 year olds who like horrors as this is my target audience.

My key learning point from this is that I needed to improve my work to make the whole promotional package more effective and appeal to the target audience. From the feedback I received I also learnt how to make the horror genre distinctive throughout the whole cohesive package and things I could add and change throughout. Below is the differences and improvements I made marked with arrows from the draft and final of my magazine and poster due to the feedback I received on them.

This video explains the feedback I had from my final film trailer after showing it to a group of my target audience.
